We love our colourful life on the farm. It is a life in and with nature. Nature determines how we work. And gives us peace and grounds us too. We are Maria and Markus with our children, Sarah, Maximilian, Janah and Michael. And yes, there are a few animals living with us too…
The thoughtfully designed, spacious garden at the Bartlmair Hof is a powerful place in its own right, a place to retreat to. Everyone can find their very own favourite spot here. In the lounger area, in the shade of the old nut tree or by the fire pit. Here under the open skies, there is room for slowness, for meeting people. For taking a moment to reflect.
There is mooing, bleating and clucking all around the Bartlmair Hof from morning ‘til night. All of these sounds come from our hard-working dairy cows, calves and goats. Then there is a cheeky cockerel who welcomes the new morning joyfully and his flock of cheerfully clucking chickens who reliably lay fresh eggs for the breakfast table. And there is our loyal farm dog, Rocky, too.
Our farm business is a daily coming together of people, animals and nature. The rhythm of the farm determines our everyday lives: milking, feeding and caring for the animals early in the morning, and later working in the fields. When it comes to harvesting the hay, it needs to be the right time, the right weather and enough ability to keep going when bringing in the fragrant, sun-dried hay.
Being outside together, trying new things and feeling close. This is just how a holiday that does the children good and relaxes the parents feels. Here at the Bartlmair Hof there is plenty of room for families to play, explore and relax. In the large playground with its climbing frame, surrounded by animals, nature and freedom. You’ll get a feeling here that lasts for a long time and tastes of adventure.
Unser Bartlmair Hof liegt ruhig und idyllisch am Dorfrand von St. Georgen bei Bruneck. Es ist der perfekte Ort für einen Rückzug aus dem Alltag, für eine Auszeit im Zeichen der Langsamkeit. Und dank der Nähe zu den Dolomiten, natürlich auch zum Aktivsein in der Natur. Einige Wanderwege starten direkt am Hof und der Anschluss zum ausgedehnten Südtiroler Radwegenetz ist nicht weit. Wer es trubeliger und erlebnisreicher mag, erreicht in wenigen Minuten das Städtchen Bruneck mit zahlreichen Cafés, Restaurants, Shoppingmöglichkeiten und einem vielfältigen kulturellen Angebot. Das Highlight im Winter ist der 2.275 m hohe Skiberg Kronplatz. Die Aufstiegsanlagen in Reischach oder Percha sind nur wenige Fahrminuten vom Bartlmair Hof entfernt.
